My baby have CTEV?

Darwisy was diagnosed having CTEV on his left leg when he was born.What is CTEV? At first I pun tak tau apa itu CTEV, then after dpt explanation from Pead's   Hospital Pulau Pinang, then I know apa itu CTEV..It's mean Congenital Talipes Equinovarus or commonly known as clubfoot. 

• C.T.E.V or clubfoot is a relatively common condition affecting the lower leg.
• Congenital - present at birth
• Talipes - referring to foot and ankle
• Equinovarus - pointing downwards and inwards
• Approximately 1-2 per 1000 births are affected and half of the children born with talipes have both feet affected. It is three times more common in boys than girl

So, after discharge from hospital I bawa Darwisy untuk buat satu kasut atau di panggil splint dalam bahasa science medicine..Inilah rupa Splint tue..

Masa nie umur Darwisy baru 5 hari

So, I pakaikan kasut tu mengikut arahan dari therapist.Ikut pada dia hanya pakai 1 jam then rest 1 jam and for the whole night masa time tidur.I continue pakai splint nie sampai umur dia 2 weeks..Tu pun kadang2 skip coz kesian tengok dia tak selesa dengan splint tue.But then after 1 month, I tengok ada perubahan kat kaki dia.nampak cam biasa jer, tak 'cacat' pun.I jadi confuse.Then mother kata maybe kaki dia dah ok kot.

Tapi I tak puas hati,after habis pantang I buat appointment jumpa Pakar kat Hospital Pantai,KL..Tempat keje lama,senang sket dah kenal ramai orang kat sana.So I bawa jumpa Dr Khairul Faizi Mohammad,Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon.After examine my son foots, Doc tu kata it was normal,no CTEV..Terkejut la I.So i tunjuk referral letter from Therapist kat Penang tu pada dia.He said that they are wrongly diagnosed my son.Macam mana boleh jadi gitu.I kata pada Doc memang I sendiri nampak keadaan kaki Darwisy macam ada bengkok sket.Then Dr Khairul explained dekat I macam mana rupa sebenar baby yang ada CTEV atau pun katanya 'kayu golf''.

So, finally...Darwisy was normal & healthy baby..sayang Darwisy..Even dekat buku rekod kesihatan dia tulis Darwisy mengalami CTEV tapi dia bukan CTEV child.Suka nyer I..Kalu tak memang runsing la nak pikir masa depan dia coz kata Dr Khairul kalau betul ada CTEV dia kena buat operation pada usia 6 tahun.Alhamdulillah,pray to Allah & thanks to Allah...

Tapi kenapa Hospital Besar Pulau Pinang tu tak tengok betul2 sebelum diorang diagnosed my baby ada CTEV?..Erm..tak patut..
